
With kind permission from the US APDT, the UK APDT is introducing the wonderful new sport of Rally Obedience.
What is Rally?
Dog and handler team navigate a course with numbered signs indicating different exercises to perform such as, Sit Down Sit, Staight figure 8, Send over Jump, Recall over Jump, Left Turn. Teams navigate the course at a brisk continuous performance without direction from the judge. Handlers are encouraged to talk to their dogs during the performance.
All dogs, purebred, mixed breed and dogs with disabilities are encouraged to participate.
The aim of the UK APDT is to encourage all dog owners to take part in this new sport with a view to registering and competing for Rally titles and awards.

RALLY TRIALS
On Sunday 6 June we will be running the first official APDT Rally trials.

The total cost of the frame (this includes velcro which holds the sign in place) is £10.
The feet are drilled in order to take a light weight metal tent peg for use outdoors on grass.
A4 laminated signs with velcro attached to connect with the frame are £1 each.

A Rally class is held every third Sunday in the month at Collingbourne Ducis Village Hall,Wiltshire.
10.00am - 4.00pm.

Come and have a go at Rally the new fun dog sport from the States. A combination of obedience and agility each handler and dog navigates a course of stations incorporating various exercises eg sit-down-sit, figure of 8, send over a hurdle, about turn. Suitable for all breeds and ages and dogs with disabilities.
Training on a sand surface under cover in open ended barn so warm clothes advisable.
As there is a boarding kennel on site all dogs attending should be fully vaccinated, a valid titre test may be acceptable please ask.
