  • 1 Step

About

Many dogs struggle with the grooming experience, both at home and in the grooming salon. There are many reasons why this may be, such as fear, previous negative memories, pain, and other issues such as separation anxiety, resource guarding and touch sensitivity. Grooming is rarely introduced at a pace most dogs are comfortable with, and many groomers lack the skills to either help the dogs cope or educate the guardians how they can support at home, leaving our canine companions being labelled as “naughty” or “aggressive” in the grooming salon. This webinar will discuss the introduction of a consent based approach can help to reduce canine anxiety, allowing dogs to communicate their willingness for grooming to take place at a pace they find more comfortable.
