Introduction

Simone 'Tig' Stephenson ACAI MAPDT00655 is a reward-based dog trainer with over 25 years experience, she specialises in Agility, from Foundation skills to advanced, and DAID (Do As I Do) at her training venue on the outskirts of London. She also teaches Lifeskills and Trick training, writes training article for magazines and has provided trained dogs for photographic work and TV. She shares her life with her Tervurens (Belgian Shepherds). Tig has competed at Crufts with several of her dogs and came second in the Crufts Agility Finals in 2008. Her aim is to help owners build the bond between dog and handler, with the dog's wellbeing and confidence always the priority. She is committed to helping her students achieve their goals, and has coached several of her students to successfully compete and win in agility finals at Crufts. Tig is a qualified Agility Club Approved Instructor (ACAI) and an assessed member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK (MAPDT No.0655). She is also a Associate member of the Pet Dog Training Instructors (APDTI no.1500) and was a founder member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme for Instructors in Dog Training & Canine Behaviour. In 2017 Tig became 1 of the first 5 in the U.K. to pass the DAID first level exam. Tig was honoured to be awarded The Kennel Club’s KCAI Significant Contribution Award (for individual effort and contribution to dog training) at Crufts 2020
